About this event

Each year, the pianos the university borrows come back to the public.

BYU-Idaho has a special arrangement with Yamaha, Kawai and Piano Gallery that places quality instruments in practice rooms and on stage for students and faculty. When the term ends, those pianos — plus a large selection of new and pre-owned instruments — are offered for sale at a fraction of retail. Pianos from the loan program carry added discounts and a factory warranty.

Your purchase helps the program continue for the next class of musicians.

Questions

Good to know before you come.

Do I need an appointment?
Not for Friday and Saturday — the public sale is open to everyone. Appointments are for Wednesday and Thursday, November 18 and 19, and give you first selection of the full collection before the public days. If you want a specific brand or size, book an appointment.
What's the difference between “institutional” and “new” pianos?
Institutional pianos were placed at BYU-Idaho for the school year through the loan program. They've been professionally maintained, carry added discounts, and include a factory warranty. New and pre-owned pianos from Piano Gallery's inventory round out the 100+ instruments on the floor.
How does the 0% for 24 months work?
Zero-percent APR financing for twenty-four months is available on select pianos to qualified buyers, on approved credit (O.A.C.). Apply at the event; approval typically takes a few minutes. A specialist will walk you through the exact terms for the piano you choose.
Can you deliver?
Yes. Professional piano delivery is available throughout the region — ask your specialist for a quote and scheduling at the time of purchase.
Who is actually selling the pianos?
Piano Gallery, BYU-Idaho's authorized retail partner, is the seller. BYU-Idaho loans the pianos through its music department and benefits from the program; the university does not sell pianos directly or sponsor this advertisement.
Where do I park, and where is the entrance?
The Legacy Flight Museum is at 400 Airport Road in Rexburg, east of Liberty GMC. Turn north at the “Piano Sale” sign. Parking is free on site.
